MEXICO — Finca Llano Encino | CLASSIC
Apple · Caramel · Berry · Almond
Plant/Variety: Typica
Place: Finca Llano Encino, Paula Marín Zaragoza, San Lucas Zoquiapam, Oaxaca
Process: Washed
Vibe: Classic
Profile: Apple, caramel, berry & almond
Finca Llano Encino is a single hectare in San Lucas Zoquiapam, Oaxaca, named for the oak trees still standing throughout the land — deeply tied to the indigenous traditions of the region.
Paula Marín Zaragoza has cultivated Typica here for 25 years. Like most producers, she started growing coffee to support her family; only in recent years has she moved into specialty, finding real recognition for the quality she's capable of. Her son now works alongside her through harvest and drying, and together they're pushing the farm forward — managing coffee rust, refining the process, building something they're proud of.
A classically balanced cup profile with apple, caramel sweetness, almond and berries. Plenty of depth and richness without being big or bold.
This coffee has been imported by our partners at Caravela Coffee — more information about the producers can be found here.
