Seasonal Singles Trio Tasting Pack

$68.00

Discover our seasonal tasting pack trio highlighting our favourites of the season. Each coffee presents in one of three expressions: Brown, Sweet or Fruity. These are perfect coffees for those crisp Autumn mornings.

Guatemala, La Providencia, Washed

Variety: Caturra

Expression: Brown

Pear · Hazelnut · Milk Chocolate

We have been buying coffee from the Palacios family since we started the Roastery. We love it due to the fact that it tastes exactly like what it is and where it is from, whilst also being the most comforting kind of coffee to be found in a mug.

The farm has been in the family since the 1950s and is currently operated by 80-year-old Max Ariel Palacios Villatoro. Having worked on the farm since 1975, he is passing his expertise and experience on to the next generation, Ana Lucia and Javier. So delicious, so warm, and where it's from is so much fun to say.

Huehuetenango! Go for it.

Rwanda, Ruli Peaberry, Washed

Variety: Red Bourbon

Expression: Sweet

Peach · Pineapple · Lemonade · Sweet

Our founder and head roaster, Angus, is so fond of these little guys that you'll find them on our menu most of the year. Technically a genetic deformity, a peaberry occurs when a coffee cherry produces only one seed instead of the typical two. Tiny, round little oddballs of joy. Often distinctly sweeter, these have been painstakingly separated into a micro-lot of their own.

Our second lot of the year from Ruli washing station at the Dukunde Kawa Co-Op in Rwanda's north. A fantastic expression of plant and place, this is very similar to the women's lot previously on our menu, just sweeter.

Unusual coffee deserves an unusual description. I'm calling this one Autumnal.

Colombia, El Plan, Honey

Variety: Caturra, Castillo, Typica

Expression: Fruity

Crip Apples · Sweet Berries · Vanilla

A super clean, sweet and aromatic coffee from the famed hills of Aponté. 'Honey Processed' by leaving the fruit on the coffee as it dried, helping give this coffee its unique profile.

The Inga people of Aponté operate as an indigenous reserve independent from the Colombian government. Although this lot was grown by a single producer, Rolando Janamejoy, the Inga own their land collectively with town leaders in charge of how it is developed or cultivated. This communal way of approaching agriculture and society has led the producers of Aponte to be world leaders in how they cultivate and process their coffees.
