Seasonal Singles Trio Tasting Pack
Discover our seasonal tasting pack trio highlighting our favourites of the season. Each coffee presents in one of three expressions: Comforting, Sweet or Fruity. These are perfect coffees for those crisp Autumn mornings.
Brazil, Sítio Canaã, Pulped Natural
Variety: Topazio, Acauã
Expression: Comforting
Pear · Chocolate Danish · Silky · Creamed Honey
This coffee can be summed up in a simple word: Promise.
Klumen Moreira is simply the future of coffee from Brazil as we see it. He's young, hungry, and talented, growing only varieties he sees as confronting the challenges predicted to come over the following years—and they are stunning.
The fact that Sítio Canaã literally means "Promised Land" only reinforces that we're onto something special here.
Burundi, Gihere, Natural
Variety: Bourbon
Expression: Fruity
Blueberry · Pomegranate · Honey · Floral
We only ever buy naturally fermented coffees if they are exceptionally clean and still speak of plant and place in how they present in the cup. This is a perfect example.
Bourbon varieties grow all over the world and show very different characteristics depending on the local environment. In Burundi we are always looking for deep sweetness, red fruit and complex structure. This example shows all of those things with the natural process adding extra florals and a distinct blueberry note. Love, Love, Love.
Colombia, Finca Armenia, Pink Bourbon
Variety: Pink Bourbon
Expression: Sweet
Blackberry· Apple · Sticky
This Colombian Pink Bourbon truly exemplifies our Sweet expression.
Pink Bourbon is hip, trendy, and fun-sounding - although not actually bourbon at all! This Ethiopian landrace variety (think Geisha) somehow found its way to Colombia. That's literally the story: no one knows exactly how, though a few have theories. The truth remains buried. Was it stolen from Nestlé? Illegally smuggled? The imagination boggles with possibilities of espionage and shady deals.
Either way, it's seriously delicious. Hector Díaz has done a fantastic job producing this coffee using sustainable and traditional practices. Shade-grown and processed with intent and precision, expect a purple fruit party with beautiful florals.
